Introducing our 2014 Vaïla Rosé. Made from Pinot Noir grapes, which are grown exclusively for this wine.
It is a serious wine that is fun, delicate and absolutely perfect for the summer. It shows explosive aromas of rhubarb sorbet, pink grapefruit rind and the amazing bright and crunchy red fruit, that BC rosés are becoming known for.
Have you ever wondered how a rosé wine is made? Severine the winemaker for Le Vieux Pin takes the hand picked and sorted Pinot Noir grapes and uses the gentle “presse method”. This method allows the skin to be in contact with the juice just long enough to provide a desired color – a very pale salmon colour for the 2014 Vaïla Rosé. The juice is then transferred to stainless steel tanks to age. The outcome is a wine that balances complexity with pure drinking enjoyment.
The best way to enjoy this rosé is sitting beach or pool-side enjoying the sun – however, if that’s not within reach, just add a plate of charcuterie and artisan cheese to wherever you are for the perfect pairing. Just $24.90 a bottle.
With just 768 cases produced, the 2014 Vaïla will certainly not last. So grab a case or two before it’s too late!
